Overview
The Level Settings page provides comprehensive control over individual level configuration, including display settings, age group management, and administrative functions. These settings affect how the level appears to participants and officials across all Gym Art platforms.
Level Management
Level Name Configuration
Real-time Updates:
Edit the level name directly in the text field
Changes immediately propagate across all interfaces
Updates gymnast records, session assignments, and public displays
Maintains data consistency throughout the application

Age Group Refresh
Recalculation Function:
Refresh Age Groups button recalculates age group assignments
Ensures all gymnasts are properly categorized after data changes
Fixes any inconsistencies in age group distribution
Updates session assignments based on current age group configurations
When to Use:
After importing new gymnasts
When age group criteria change
If gymnast assignments seem incorrect
After meet configuration updates
Level Deletion
Deletion Restrictions:
Cannot Delete Levels with Gymnasts: Every gymnast must be assigned to a level. Levels containing gymnasts cannot be deleted to maintain data integrity.
Additional Constraints:
Cannot delete the only level in a meet
Must have at least one level for proper meet organization
Gymnast reassignment required before deletion
Safe Deletion Process:
Move all gymnasts to another level
Ensure at least one level remains
Delete the empty level through the interface
Display Settings
Public Interface Control
Display settings control what information is visible to the public in the Gym Art mobile app and on projector screens during competitions.
Available Display Options:
Results Display:
Show Results - Display competition results and rankings
Hide Results - Conceal all scoring information from public view
Per-Age-Group Control - Can be configured differently for each age group
Video Display:
Show Videos - Display recorded routine videos
Hide Videos - Conceal all video content from public access
Meet-Level Control - Inherits from meet-wide video recording settings
Ranking Display:
Show Ranks - Display gymnast rankings and positions
Hide Ranks - Conceal ranking information from public view
Team Scores:
Show Team Scores - Display team-based scoring
Hide Team Scores - Conceal team scoring from public view
Age Group-Specific Overrides
Granular Control:
Display settings can be configured independently for each age group within a level
Override default level settings for specific age groups
Maintain consistent experience while accommodating different competition formats
Example Configuration:
Level 1 (7-8 years): Show all results and rankings
Level 1 (9-10 years): Hide detailed rankings but show basic results
Level 2 (All Ages): Use default level settings
Default Behavior:
All age groups within a level inherit the level's display settings
Individual age group overrides take precedence when configured
Provides maximum flexibility for different competition requirements
