📅Sessions
Learn how to create and manage gymnastics competition sessions, including session creation, organization, and the session dashboard overview.
Create and manage gymnastics competition sessions to organize gymnasts for simultaneous competition and provide detailed timeline information.
Overview
Sessions are the core organizational unit for gymnastics meets, allowing you to group gymnasts together so they can compete simultaneously in the venue. A session serves two primary purposes:
Powerful Automation: Gym Art Meets includes a sophisticated session generation tool that optimally distributes gymnasts across rotations while respecting team affiliations and skill levels. This automation handles the complex work of squad assignment, allowing you to focus on fine-tuning rather than manual placement.
For detailed information on using the session generation tool, see: Session Generation
Gymnast Organization: Add gymnasts through their competition subdivisions and assign them to squads (starting positions on each apparatus)
Timeline Management: Provide detailed competition schedules, apparatus rotations, and timing information
Sessions can overlap in time, allowing for complex meet scheduling while maintaining organized competition flow.
