View and manage all gymnasts in a session, add or remove competitions from the session, and track which gymnasts are assigned to squads versus unassigned.
Overview
The Gymnast List page provides a comprehensive view of all gymnasts associated with a specific session, whether they are assigned to squads or still unassigned. This page serves as the central hub for:
Session Gymnast Overview: Track total gymnasts and their assignment status
Competition Management: Add or remove competitions (gymnast groups) from the session
Individual Gymnast Management: View details and access gymnast profile editing
Accessing the Gymnast List
Navigation Path
Open Session Dashboard
Navigate to your meet dashboard
Click on "Sessions" in the sidebar
Select a session from the grid or click its dashboard button

In the session dashboard, click the "Gymnast List" tab or button
This opens the comprehensive gymnast management interface

Key Indicators
At the top of the page, you'll see important session statistics:
Assignment Status:
Total Gymnasts: All gymnasts included in the session
Assigned Gymnasts: Gymnasts placed in squad starting positions
Unassigned Gymnasts: Gymnasts in session but not yet assigned to squads
Session Composition:
Competition Levels: Overview of skill levels in the session
Participating Clubs: Clubs represented in the session
Age Groups: Age divisions included in the session

Below the overview, you'll find a horizontal list of all competitions currently included in the session:
Competition Cards Display:
Competition Name: Level and age group identifier
Level Information: Competition level details
Age Group: Specific age division
Subdivision number: The number of the subdivision within the age group
Adding Competitions to Session
Add New Competitions:
Click Add Button: Located in the competitions section header
Browse Available Competitions: View competitions not yet added to this session
Search and Filter: Find specific competitions by name
Review Competition Details:
Number of gymnasts in the competition
Associated level and age group
Club representation
Select and Add: Choose desired competitions and click "Add"
Automatic Update: Session gymnast list refreshes with newly added gymnasts
Competition Information Displayed:
Gymnast Count: Total number of participants in each competition
Level Assignment: Which competition level the gymnasts are competing in
Age Group: Specific age division for the competition
Club Distribution: Which clubs are represented in each competition

Table Columns:
Status Icon: Visual indicator of assignment status
Gymnast Name: Full name of the participant
Date of Birth: Birth date for age verification
Club: Associated gymnastics club or team
Level: Competition level assignment
Actions: Edit and view options
Assignment Status Indicators
Visual Status System:
✅ Assigned: Gymnast has been placed in a squad starting position
⭕ Unassigned: Gymnast is in session but not yet assigned to a squad
Status Updates: Indicators change as gymnasts are assigned/removed from squads

Edit Gymnast:
Click the edit button (pencil icon) next to any gymnast
Opens the gymnast profile page for detailed information management

Quick Information:
Name: Full gymnast name for identification
Date of Birth: Age verification and group placement
Club: Team affiliation for organization

Gymnast Journey in Session:
Added to Session: Gymnast included via competition selection
Unassigned Status: Present in session but no squad placement
Assigned Status: Placed in specific squad starting position
Competition Ready: Fully prepared for session participation
Assignment Management
Moving from Unassigned to Assigned:
Unassigned gymnasts appear in the table but are not yet in squads
Assignment happens in the Squad List page
Once assigned, gymnasts move from unassigned to assigned status
Navigation to Squad Assignment:
Use the sidebar navigation to access "Squad List"
Or click the "Squads & Rotations" button in the overview widget

Access Competition Browser:
Click the "Add Competition" button in the competitions section
Opens a modal with available competitions
Browse Available Options:
View all competitions not currently in the session
Each competition shows gymnast count, level, and age group
Search and Filter:
Use search bar to find specific competitions by name
Filter by level, age group, or gymnast count
Select Competitions:
Check boxes next to desired competitions
Review details before adding
Add to Session:
Click "Add Selected" button
Competitions are added to the session
Gymnast list automatically updates with new participants

Troubleshooting Common Issues
Assignment Status Problems
Unassigned Gymnasts Not Appearing:
Verify competitions have been properly added to the session
Check that gymnasts are actually registered for the meet
Ensure session includes the correct competition subdivisions
Assignment Status Not Updating:
Refresh the page to sync with latest changes
Verify squad assignments were properly saved
Check for session-level restrictions or conflicts
Competition Addition Issues
Competitions Not Appearing in Add Dialog:
Confirm competitions exist in the meet configuration
Verify competitions haven't already been added to the session
Check meet-level restrictions on competition availability
Gymnast Count Discrepancies:
Verify gymnast registration status in meet management
Check for gymnasts who may have been removed or changed levels
Ensure age group calculations are correct for the competition
