# Version 2.9.004

> Released September 10, 2026. Meets on the web loads a new release with one refresh, and an open tab tells you when one is live.

## One refresh loads the new build

After a release, your browser used to keep the old build for up to an hour. You refreshed two or three times before the new screens appeared, while the version in the bottom left already showed the new number.

Now one refresh loads the new build.

## An open tab tells you when a release is live

Leave Meets open during a meet and a banner appears across the top within five minutes of a release. Press Refresh on the banner. Meets reloads on the new build and the banner goes away.

If a page fails to open because a release landed while your tab was open, the same banner appears. Press Refresh.

## The version in the bottom left is the one that runs

The version under the side bar names the build running in your tab. The dot beside it is green when your tab runs the current release and yellow when a newer one is live.
