Learn how to create, edit, duplicate, and delete sessions in a schedule

Overview

Sessions are how you can assign athletes time to compete in the venue. Creating and modifying them is a crucial part of making your schedule. Once a session is made you can also quickly duplicate it to a new time if you have many similar sessions.

Creating a session

Here are the step-by-step instructions for adding a session to your schedule:

  1. Go to the "Schedule" page of your meet.

  2. Click on the "+ Session" button.

  3. Enter the basic details of the sessions (name, day, start time, and timeline template)

  4. Click Next to optionally add athletes

  5. Select which subdivisions to add to the session

    1. You don't have to select any competitions

    2. You can add athletes but not add them to rotations by disabling the Generate Rotations option

  6. Click Create and the session will now appear in your schedule's timeline.

Sessions must always be organized within the schedule's designated date and time range.

Modifying a session

To modify a session, you can either make changes directly from the Schedules page of your meet or go to the session's dashboard.

From the session's dashboard, you have full control over the name, day, description, timeline, athletes, and judges. To navigate to the session's dashboard follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Schedules page of your meet.

  2. Locate the tile for the session you want to modify.

  3. Click on the Edit Session button.

You must click Publish Changes to save your changes made in the Timeline & Settings section

Any changes made to the session's details will immediately be reflected in the meet's schedule.

Quick modifications

You can also modify the main details of a session from the Schedules page of your meet. From the session's tile, you can change:

  1. The name

  2. The day of the session

  3. The timeline

Duplicating a session

You can duplicate any session (without its athletes) into a new day and time.

  1. Go to the Schedules page of your meet.

  2. Click on the 'copy' button on the tile of the session you want to duplicate.

  3. Optionally choose another day for the duplicated session.

  4. Click on "Duplicate" and the new session will be added to your schedule.

You can shift the time a session is at using the Clock button on the session's tile, in the top right corner. This will shift the session's timeline to start at the selected time.

Deleting a session

You can either delete a session from the session's tile in the Schedules page, or from the session's Timeline & Settings page.

From the Schedules section

  1. Go to the Schedules page of your meet.

  2. Locate the "Delete" button on the session's tile

  3. Confirm that you want to delete the session.

From the session's dashboard page

  1. From to the Schedules page of your meet, click Edit Session on the session's tile

  2. Navigate to the Timeline & Settings section

  3. Click the "Delete" button

  4. Confirm that you want to delete the session.
