📋Level registration settings
Learn how to configure level-specific registration settings including pricing, age limits, and participant constraints for individual competition levels.
Overview
The Level Registration Settings tab allows you to customize registration requirements and constraints for each individual level in your meet. These level-specific settings work alongside your meet-wide registration settings, providing granular control over who can register for each level and under what conditions.
Level-Specific Registration Controls
Registration Pricing
Flexible Pricing Options:
Use Global Meet Price: When the global meet price is enabled and a price is specified, all levels automatically use that price
Set Level Price: When the global meet price is disabled, you must specify the registration price for each level individually
Price Display:
If using the global meet price, the meet’s current price is shown and applied to all levels
If using level pricing, each level’s custom price is shown and applied only to that level
All pricing changes are immediately reflected in the registration form
Practical Impact:
Global pricing provides one consistent price across the entire meet
Level pricing allows different price points for different levels based on competition difficulty
Pricing is clearly shown to clubs during registration
Maximum Athletes Per Level
Capacity Management:
Enable Level Limit: Set a maximum number of athletes allowed in this level
Unlimited Capacity: Leave disabled to allow unlimited registration
Registration Control:
When enabled, registration automatically closes when the limit is reached
Works independently of meet-wide capacity limits
Prevents over-subscription of popular levels
Example Usage:
Limit advanced levels to 50 athletes to maintain quality
Allow unlimited registration for beginner levels
Age Requirements
Precise Age Control:
Minimum Age: Set the youngest age allowed for this level
Maximum Age: Set the oldest age allowed for this level (optional)
Age Validation:
Ages can be specified in years and months for precision
Minimum age must be less than maximum age when both are set
Works with the meet's year start date for age calculations
Override Capability:
Level-specific age limits override meet-wide age settings
More restrictive than meet settings (narrower age range)
Example Scenario:
Clubs can only register 14-18 year olds for Level A
Only 8-12 year olds can register for Level B
Meet-wide settings provide the outer bounds
How Level Settings Override Meet Settings
Priority System
Registration Form Logic:
Meet Settings Applied First: Basic meet requirements (currency, deadlines, etc.)
Level Settings Override: More specific level constraints take precedence
Final Validation: Both meet and level requirements must be satisfied
Practical Examples
Age Constraints:
Meet allows ages 8-18
Level A requires ages 14-16
Result: Only 14-16 year olds can register for Level A
Pricing:
Meet base price: $100
Level B custom price: $75
Result: Level B costs $75, other levels cost $100
Capacity:
Meet maximum: 200 athletes
Level C maximum: 30 athletes
Result: Level C closes after 30 registrations, even if meet has remaining spots
Registration Flow Impact
Club Experience:
Clubs select their desired level during registration
Form immediately shows level-specific requirements
Real-time validation prevents invalid registrations
Clear feedback on why registration might be blocked
