ProScore meet setup
How to create and configure a meet in Gym Art Meets if you're coming from ProScore.
Prerequisites: You have a Gym Art Meets account and have created a club.
In ProScore
In ProScore, you launch the Windows desktop application, create a new meet (or restore from a backup file), enter meet details (name, dates, venue, sanction number), select which USAG levels and age divisions will participate, configure entry fees and budget settings, and set up the meet structure. ProScore auto-populates many scoring rules based on the selected federation (USAG, NGA, AAU, etc.) and level.
In Gym Art Meets
The same workflow in Gym Art Meets follows these steps:
1. Create the Meet
Go to your club dashboard and create a new meet. You'll set the meet name, dates, venue/address, and discipline (WAG, MAG, etc.).
2. Add Levels (Replaces ProScore Level Selection)
Where ProScore has you select levels from a predefined federation list (e.g., USAG Level 5 WAG), Gym Art Meets separates this into levels and age groups:
Level = the competition category (Level 5, Xcel Gold, etc.) with its own capacity and pricing
Age Group = a birth date range within that level
Create one level for each competition category. Set the per-gymnast fee (replaces ProScore entry fees). Note that ProScore may auto-populate scoring rules from the selected federation; in Gym Art Meets you configure these explicitly.
3. Configure Score Settings per Level
In ProScore, score calculation rules are often implicitly determined by the selected federation and level. In Gym Art Meets, they're set explicitly on the level and inherited by all competitions within it:
Individual score settings - tiebreakers, vault decision, rank method, initial execution trimming
Team score settings - team size, count-from/count-toward, selection method
4. Create Age Groups and Subdivisions
In ProScore, "age divisions" are set during meet setup and may follow federation-defined rules (e.g., USAG JO age groups). In Gym Art Meets:
Age groups group gymnasts by birth date range - you define these manually per level
Subdivisions split a competition for scheduling and optionally for awards
See Create age groups and Create subdivisions
5. Set Registration Settings
ProScore does not include built-in online registration - registration is typically handled externally (email, paper forms, or through MyUSAGym). Gym Art Meets has built-in online registration with open/close dates, capacity limits, and Stripe payment.
